Intro:

  • 112 proof
  • $55 OHLQ price
  • A blend of 2 ryes
    • A high rye and a low rye
    • It is a maryland style rye
      • 1933 maryland was home to ⅓ of american rye whiskeys
      • They stopped producing it to make ethanol for the war effort
      • Then corn subsidies all but wiped out the rye production
    • Sagamore is sourced now by MGP but plans are to be fully Maryland made (possibly by 2021)
      • When you source from MGP you can:
        • Take what they have and put it in your name
        • Work with them to create something
        • Bland some of their mashes
          • They chose to blend a high rye and a low rye to make something distinctly maryland
  • Whiskey Dic
    • Cinimmon and clove nose
    • Tastes lower proof
    • Sweeter
    • Still has your rye
