- This is not the first time we have had a bottle on the podcast from Savage and Cooke

- The Burning chair was the first, anticipated, release from David Phinney for his whiskey company.
- David Phinney is a winemaker, a highly acclaimed winemaker at that.
- Creator of Orin Swift Cellars
- Best known for his creation: The Prisoner
- Now, while David is a great winemaker, he is not so much a distiller of whiskey.
- He sources from Indiana, Kentucky, and Tennessee
- Blends them, with the youngest going in at 4 years old
- Finishes them in used barrels from his Napa Valley Cabernet projects
- Mashbill:
- Technically it is a high rye mashbill
- 75% corn 21% rye and 4% Malted Barley
- Barrel picks
- They do some interesting private picks
- They allow people to pick the wine barrels they are finished in and what percentage from those barrels are used in the blend for the final product
- They also allow them to pick the proof
